Leisurely Guided Walks on Dublin's Doorstep

Djouce Woods, Powerscourt Demesne

Djouce Woods and Powerscourt Demesne

On this guided walk, the route follows well laid out walking trails through Djouce Woods which used to be part of the Powerscourt Demesne.  When the trail reaches the moorland, a large area opens up stretching toward the foot of the mountains.  From there, there are stunning views over the Wicklow Mountains.  At the end of the summer, when the heather is in full bloom, the moorland is like a purple carpet.

Powerscourt Waterfall

Upon turning a bend, the long white streak of the waterfall can be seen in the distance tumbling over the edge of a near vertical cliff.  Surprisingly, the thundering of the water hitting the rocks does not disturb the silence of the valley.  This majestic waterfall is the highest waterfall  in Ireland and united Kingdom.
