This area, also known as the Garden of Ireland, is famous for its rolling mountains, its beautiful coastline and its peaceful forests and lakes. It is also at the heart of Ireland Ancient East. With some 5000 years of history, there is a fascinating heritage well worthwhile exploring.
The guide and founder of Wicklow Scenic Walks, Beatrice Lasserre is originally from Switzerland and living in Co. Wicklow for over 25 years. After walking for many years in the Wicklow Mountains and enjoying the stunning landscapes, she created the walks on offer today. Beatrice has also a great interest in the local history which she discovered when she was working in Glendalough Visitor Centre. She is a qualified tourist guide (Fáilte Ireland) and as a Lowland Leader (Mountaineering Ireland). Her top priorities are your safety and enjoyment.
