Group day trips

Group day trips are available for corporate groups as well as groups of friends or families. Combine one of our guided walks with a team building activity to create a memorable day out. The trips are set up in partnership with local activity providers and include beer tasting, visit to a historic gaol or a water sport on the Irish Sea.

Leisurely guided walk in the morning

The group day trips start with a leisurely guided walk,  allowing plenty of time to chill in nature’s peace, to chit chat and to enjoy the magnificent landscapes.  The walks are approximately two hours long on trails and they are suitable for all level of fitness.

Lying at the heart of Wicklow Mountains National Park, the Valley of Glendalough is well known for its two lakes and its magnificent scenery. It is also home to the ruins of a  monastery with a Round Tower still standing tall.

Devils Glen Waterfall

The walk follows along a river which flows through a wild valley, ending in a waterfall tumbling into a deep pool.  The walk continues along a trail created in honour of Seamus Heaney, Nobel Prize of Literature, who lived nearby.

The trail leads to a small clearing where lie the imposing ruins of the  Giant’s Grave which was built some 4000 years ago. Further  on, the trails reaches Three Rock Mountain, a high plateau with stunning views over the coast and Dublin.

The  Park is built over two hills overlooking the sea.  The trail meanders through the woodlands to the tops of the hills where stunning views stretch from the   mountains to Dublin. On the way back, there are lovely views on the old harbor and Dalkey Island.

An activity of your choice in the afternoon

The group day trips include an activity of your choice in the afternoon.  You can choose one activity among three activities on offer. Set up in partnership with local activity providers, these activities will give you a unique insight into the local history with a guided tour of Wicklow’s Historic Gaol, a taste of locally hand-crafted beers at Wicklow Brewery or the fun of outdoor adventure sports with Bray Adventures.

On the guided tour of Wicklow Brewery,  you get a close view of the brewing process from the milling of the grain right through to the fermentation tanks.  After the tour, there is an aroma and tasting session.  On request, you can avail of the deluxe tour with Food and Beer Pairing.

Wicklows Historic Gaol

Step into the past with a tour of Wicklow’s Historic Gaol.  Enjoy the atmosphere of one of Ireland’s most historic built, with an animated snapshot of life in an historic Irish prison.  Then board the convict ship HMS Hercules for a rough voyage to the New World.
