Beatrice Lasserre, the guide and founder of Wicklow Scenic Walks, has lived for the last 30 years in County Wicklow in the heart of the Garden of Ireland. The mountains remind her of Switzerland, her home country. After walking in the mountains and the countryside for many years and enjoying the stunning landscapes, she created the walks on offer today. Beside her passion for walking, Beatrice is also very interested in the local history and culture. Her interest originated at the time she was working in Glendalough Visitor Centre, guiding tours of the Monastic Site. Beatrice is a qualified tourist guide (Fáilte Ireland) and a Lowland Leader (Mountaineering Ireland). (BOS Bord Oiliúint Sléibhe - Irish Mountains Training Board). Over the last five years, she has worked with a Moroccan company organising treks for Irish groups in the Atlas Mountains. If you are staying for a few days in Dublin or in County Wicklow, Beatrice will be delighted to meet you and to share a memorable walk in the magnificent landscapes of the Garden of Ireland.
